The kiln drying process removes excess moisture from the timber, reducing the average moisture content to 12%–20%. This helps the logs light more easily and burn efficiently, giving you more useful heat from your fire.

These logs are exclusively Ash, rather than a mixed hardwood product. Ash can take longer to reach the correct moisture content naturally, which is why the kiln-drying process is particularly beneficial.
